Stillness in Chaos

Psalm 65:7

I love the news channels. I like to know what’s going on in the world and how people are getting on. I was so intrigued by the news that I wanted to be a journalist when I was a kid.

What I have observed by news watching is that there are no days without chaos. Whether it is natural chaos ( earthquake, tsunamis, floods, storms and volcanos) or human chaos (brakage in family, marriage, work) there are no days without any.

In the beginning, all was chaos – darkness, empty, formless. God spoke and all the chaos turn into order and creativity. He still does that in our lives. God works both in history and nature to bring safety, peace, joy and grace to the whole world.

God speaks and stills the roaring storms. He transcends the turmoil of the nations into tranquillity. He heals hurting people and frees sin hostages. If chaos is what you see in your life and the world, ask the one who can turn all chaos into calm
