We too were Enemies…

Psalm 83:14-18

I know that ‘with us or against us’ is sees as a narrow and exclusive saying these days, but in reality, when it comes to the kingdom of God, we are either with God or against him.

Before a person is saved, he or she lives in opposition to God, as an enemy. Why? Because he or she rejects and denies the existence, character and presence of God.
On the other side, God never leaves us, yes even when we are opposing him, he is rich in mercy and love towards us, he makes a way for us to know him.

It’s pure grace and by faith ( Ephesians 2:8-9) that we are saved. It’s that, the goodness of God that brought us to repentance and embracing his plan of salvation. Only by seeing ourselves in the light of Christ we can not only have mercy for those who oppose us but learn to love our enemies also.
