We all like to give our word but to keep it we forget.
LD
That is so different from God who gives his word and goes straight into actions to fulfil it. Mostly, our word, although sincere and well-meaning at it’s very best fails to follow it’s own instruction, for our fragile nature and our crazy lives make it almost impossible.
But God’s word is alive and sharp, active and true, ready to accomplish all that is set to do. That is why the psalmist sings-
“For God’s Word is something to sing about! He is true to his promises, his word can be trusted, and everything he does is reliable and right.”
Psalms 33:4 TPT
We are encouraged to know and speak the scriptures and trust him. For he is able to keep and attain his word. He is the Promise Keeper
There are thousands of promises in the scripture that we can put it into our mouths and speak it out.
For God is God and he is very good at keeping his word until the end.
When God and His Word are our reality, we speak less of our words so we fear not to keep it, for he does. That’s why Jesus said ’follow me’ for if we follow the Word, God will make sure every word is not returned void.
