Awake, Harp

Psalm 57:8

When was the last time you let singing and music fill your heart and home? When was the last time you blew the dust of the ’harp’ to wake up the dawn with singing? It has been said that King David had a harp that he took with himself whenever he went. Whether he was in a cave or the palace he made sure that his steadfast heart in God found a way to sing and worship.

The last thing that we feel doing when we are in a ’cave’ is to sing or play an instrument, but if we want to wake up the dawn, if we want the darkness to disappear than remaining relentless in God’s praises is the key.

Declaring his love and faithfulness upon us and the nations and his glory all over all the earth is cooperating with God to bring his will on earth. Sing what you know about God and let him fill your life with his insight about you.
