The Most Important Thing

Psalm 69:17

Everybody needs prayer, but prayer is not practised by everybody.
If I had to ask you and myself: what place does prayer takes in our lives, what our answer will be I wonder?

Our position as Christian believers is tested by the character of our prayer life.
More important than service and mission work, more important than knowledge and skills, more important than learning and growing – prayer is. I am not saying that all the above are not important, they are and I truly believe that we should go after them with all our hearts, but before all that, prayer should be the first and foremost yearning.

Jesus assured our redemption and freedom for us in order to know the Father. How can we do that unless we pray? How can we know real wisdom and discernment, true guidance and strength if we don’t devote ourselves to pray.

A man is what he is on his knees before God, and nothing more.
